The Sports Guy
The blizzog has mentioned before that we love ESPN’s “The Sport’s Guy”, Bill Simmons. His article this week that chronicles the NFL draft had this priceless quote that I had to reprint here. On ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr.’s comments about NC State’s Philip Rivers: “I saw a lot of Bernie Kosar in Rivers,” Kiper tells us. Is that a compliment? That’s like saying, “I see a lot of Ian Ziering in the guy who plays Luke on ‘The OC.’ “
That’s just plain old good times right there.

I’m not sure why I assumed the blizzog was taking a dig at Philip Rivers and not commenting on the humor in the Sports Guy’s Ian Ziering / OC remark. I guess it’s because I’m only happy when I can put down UNC to make myself feel better.
And you can’t make a joke about UNC football players without making me think you have an inferiority complex.
In fact, any time you make fun of UNC, you have an inferiority complex. Isn’t that what makes UNC so lovable?
