Cooling My Heels
AG the Birthday-napper took me to Chapel Hill last night for my birthday. We stayed on campus at the Carolina Inn and had a nice dinner at 411 West. The evening ended with a trip to Top of The Hill and the sampling of some fine adult beverages. Good times were had all around.
And now to the important matter: presents! What do you get an aging tall skinny kid from Ohio? A recliner, of course. We have an old and busted recliner in our bonus room that I’ve been saying I will replace for years, but of course never have. After we left Chapel Hill this morning, AG took me to the La-Z-Boy store in Greensboro and told me to pick one out. I picked the one on the right (except ours is much bigger). It will be here in 8-10 weeks.
The whole birthday-napping experience was a wonderful surprise. Thank you, Ashley, for a great birthday treat.
