I’m not going to name any names here, but let’s just say that if you’ve recently uttered the phrase “I remember back before ranch dressing was invented in the 80′s,” you weren’t 100% correct.

I refuse to believe the universe existed before Ranch. I’m pretty sure it’s mentioned in Genesis.

Just to clarify, I believe I said it was first around in the early 80′s. This really doesn’t mean they invented it then, but that it became prevalent then. So if this guy sold out to a big company in 73, and you add a few years for them to mass produce and market it, and a couple years for it to catch on big time, and then a couple more years because we were in Huber Heights, which is consistently a few years behind on what’s cool… I don’t think early 80′s is really that far off. Thanks for the research though. I’ve often wondered about the roots of this important food innovation.
