Marion Jones is a Cheater and a Liar
Tomorrow Marion Jones will reportedly fess up to what many have suspected all along: that she ‘roided her way to Olympic glory in the 2000 games. Wow. No way!
I encountered Jones several times while we both attended North Carolina and I always found her extremely unpleasant and unlikable. She seemed to be under the impression that her abilities as a world-class athlete excused her from being a nice person.
In my book, she deserves everything she gets for her cheating and lying all these years. Karma is a bitch.
What a sad, sad, waste. I remember actually cheering her on and being disappointed for her not receiving all the medals she had wanted. Hearing your experience with her Jamie, I have to agree. I hate it when they try to make it look like they are taking responsibility for their actions when they are actually trying to spin it in their favor. Michael Vick is in the same boat as far as I’m concerned, as is Landis. There is very little integrity in world class sports anymore, and it’s a sad state of affairs. Money is the ultimate corruptor.
